When I finally went back to my blog i realised that alot of significant things happened from the time I last blogged. And on a side note, the post below about the birthday card IS isabel's hacking prowess in action.

I ORDed!! 17 Dec 08 was every bit the emotional journey I had thought it will be. The joy that washed over me was overwhelming as I held back the tears in the lift ride down the admin building. In a sense, ORD for me was a milestone which spelt the end of 2 years of drudgery attached to obligation. 2 years of being told what to do, not being given space to explore or innovate, not being able to utilise your own mind or have thoughts of your own, being incapable of independant actions. Above which, i am sure alot of you know my dim view of authority.

But there is one thing i have to say (in case the gov is reading this) is that I sincerely respect the men and women who give their lives (i didnt say gave their lives), but give their everyday lives to the defence and the idea that singapore is a safe and protected country. I indeed, salute you.

3 cheers for my cousin Vimitra who just got engaged, though i was hit by a tinge of sadness that not all the immediate family could have been in singapore for the occasion.

My year ahead is very much packed, thoughts of an enterprising individual can be far from glamorous. Lesont turned one recently and we are expecting a very good year for 2009. Its hard work and alot of effort and the work hours can stretch waaaay beyond 10 hrs a day..
but its worth it.

all in all, I thank God for a great 2008, and I look forward to God's abundance in 2009.
